C’est en Afrique, continent où la vaillance se conjugue à l’espérance pour féconder la joie de vivre que naît un jour de fête, OREN’TCHY, dans une cité balnéaire du sud est de la côte d’ivoire. Très tôt,il se familiarise avec les sons, les rythmes et danses de la terre de ses ancêtres. En même temps que ses études - il est titulaire d’une maîtrise en communication - il fréquente orchestres, chorales, plateaux de télévisons et surtout l’Orchestre de l’Université d’Abidjan (OUA) qui va lui servir de tremplin.

 Son sens artistique, la maturité et la beauté de sa voix font l’unanimité et lui ouvrent les portent d’une carrière professionnelle après son premier album, KINLIN BENI (quand viendra le jour…) qui lui a valu de nombreuses distinctions. Révélé au grand public en Novembre 1998 sous la direction artistique de BONCANA MAIGA (arrangeur de Alpha Blondy, Africando, etc.) OREN’TCHY devient très vite la coqueluche des amoureux de l’art bien fait. Son succès tient à la fois à son talent vocal et à la qualité de ses spectacles fondés sur une chorégraphie harmonieuse et physique.

  OREN’TCHY is an Ivorian singer who came into national spotlight in 1999, at the release of his first album entitled KINLIN BENI. That album, which was an instantaneous success, was arranged by well respected names, such as Mr BONCANA MAIGA and so one. OREN’TCHY was rewarded for his work by the honour granted him By the government to represent the Ivory Coast at the UNESCO concert in Paris. Then followed three very important international exposures; first, at the world exposition in Hanover (Germany) ,then in Gabon (central Africa) and in Canada. OREN’TCHY’s catalog for official rewards is full. The Union of journalist for cultural affairs (UJOCCI) rewarded him the best revealed artist of the year award. Then followed the best West African choreography award presented by DD productions. The artist was further honoured by the German Bayern’s Best choreography Award presented to him by the hands of disco Marylin. He was a competition nominee in the highly selective Kora award, and had the distinct privilege and honour to perform first before the world in the noted presence of Michael Jackson and Nelson Mandela among at the award celebration. OREN’TCHY shows a marked enthusiasm for linguistic pursuits. He holds a masters degree in communications, and can sing in various African languages such as Appolo, Lingala, Kinyarwanda, Yoruba besides French, English and Spanish. Listening to him appeased the artistic thirst of the soul, watching him dance gives a higher understanding of choreography. He truly is polyvalent.
